Since Abra was already a well-known freestyler in the late 2000s, he was added to FlipTop's roster right away. Despite losing his first fight, he managed to recover at the first Bwelta Balentong event. Abra's witty humor, remarkable rapid flow, and skillfully built multi-syllabic rhymes quickly made him a fan favorite.
